The Brady Bunch Doesn't Lie.

After dinner tonight, [livejournal.com profile] klingonlandlady and I loaded up the dishwasher. But we seemed to be out of dishwasher soap. No Problem, says I, I'll just use some Dawn. [livejournal.com profile] klingonlandlady asks if that is really OK, or whether the dishwasher might overflow. I've done this before without incident, so i respond with confidence "Sure, it's fine." I really *have* done this several times before...

On the other hand, the kitchen floor is clean.

Heehee. Just how much Dawn did you use? ( I assume you didn't fill the reservoir, anyway.)

half the reservior. Dishwasher is running again right now with no additional Dawn; fingers are crossed.

Hm. I've done this before *with* incident. Never again. :)

Ooops... Didn't the Brady Bunch do it with a clothes washer though? I don't think they had a dishwasher unless you count Alice.

[identity profile] rmd.livejournal.com 2005-01-20 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
i guess an advantage of doing that with a dishwasher is that the foam comes out at floor level.

oops.

Bwa ha ha! I squirted tea out my nose! (and it was HOT tea!)

I'm glad you finally joined the LJ borg

Heehee...I could have told you that. People keep making that mistake with the dishwasher at work. We finally had to label the dish soap "NOT FOR DISHWASHER" so that we'd stop having these incidents for which no one would ever admit responsibility. :)

Haven't you two ever seen Maid to Order? ;) Glad it wasn't too disasterous! ;)

we can blame our only dishwasher mishap thus far on the previous owner's idiocy (along with a lot of other things that have gone wrong with the house). *sigh*

great to run into you at arisia! :)
