the rest of the weekend
May. 9th, 2005 03:15 pmSaturday it rained all day, and rather than trying to get any construction progress on the aerial frame, i went to Town Meeting alomg with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
klingonlandlady. I wont bother with any details; Town Meetings can be boring and draining enough when you *have* an interest in the results. Watched Tim Burtons "Big Fish" on DVD saturday night. Liked it. There's only one film this summer that i am waiting for; Burtons version of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".
Sunday it was back to construction, as it was only occasionally misting for most of the day.sensesurfer came over, we set up the canopy in case of downpour, and sensesurfer did surface prep on parts i had previously sliced out on the plasma machine, and cut out sections of 4x4 steel tube stock. Meanwhile, i camped out under the canopy and welded things until my butt fell off. [not literally, of course, though i suppose if it did, well, there *was* a welder available...]
The crane bar is mostly finished now. I'll hopefully get to finish it this coming friday. Sometime this week i need to make 8 more column connectors, pick up some more Macropoxy 646, and slice out more triangles and connector caps on the CNC table.
Tonight, off to silk practice.
