I made a double batch of molasses cookies with chunks of crystallized ginger in them. I think my house wins. :)

Ack, and I was going to go with the oatmeal crowd until you said that.

raisins are OK right out of the box. Cook them, though, and they become Eee-vil.

No, no. It has been ordained that raisins shall be alone all of their days. It's a terrible plight, but there's nothing to be done about it!

oatmeal cranberry, 'cause raisins are merely a placeholder.

I'm generally an oatmeal cookie purist (the oatmeal stands alone!) but unlike oatmeal-raisin cookies, oatmeal-chocolate-chip might not be evil, only misled ;-)

peanut butter ;p the kind that when you pull them out of the oven they are still moist in the center and can be bent even after they cool. num. with the forkprints.

i'm very chocolate-centric about my cookies.

but you've nearly won me over with warm peanut butter cookies, with forkprints.

stick a hershey's kiss in that sucker, and i'm completely won!

sounds like a worthy experiment. the -trick-would be to mix it in the center of the cookie so that you had a blend of chocolate/peanut butter - otherwise the chocolate wouldn't be bendable, having the cookie be able to bend and be gooey, just like when it is warm is key. =D

(however, i can't have chocolate, so most of my favored sweets are non-chocolatey *chuckle* i make a really good flourless chocolate port wine cake, however)

Your chocolate chip cookie dough actually makes it into the oven?
Mine never does. I don't even pretend that it might any more :-)

when i make it from scratch it does. when i try to do those "slice and bake" things, there's not a snowball's chance in hell. at least we're honest about it!

Well, we're about to bake some chocolate chip cookies here too. But we don't have any snow. In fact it was about 70 degrees out today while we were out biking!

I think I have the discussion here to thank for the chocolate chip cookies frotz baked this evening. I think I will try oatmeal chocolate chip next, maybe with caramel and pecans, but for now we're out of chocolate chips, not to mention pecans.
