inspired more by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson's 1967 novel than the 1976 feature starring Michael York and Jenny Agutter.

I read the first two books when I was a kid and then finally saw the movie years later and was... not just disappointed, but bewildered. It's almost a completely different story, and misses delicious details like the total spookiness of a Homer. It'd be cool if this new film captured some of that.
