The basement is currently dry, as the French Drain system we have works amazingly well. If we lose power, however, either we power the sump pump via generator or battery/inverter system, or we get hosed pretty quickly. like this
I got a set of those rubber boots with patterns on them lots of folk have been wearing lately. Black with colored polka-dots. Mostly i got them in prep for this years Firefly, which is always a mudfest, but they were great for sloshing around our new stream. For some reason, stores think that only women like having dry feet and socks. I'm a womens 9 when it comes to these. They run big.

This is the new stream we have on our property! Running quite well, too!

It opens out onto the wetlands that are usually about 200 feet away but are *much* closer now...

I'm going to get the inverter system set up *now* so i can switch quickly if needed...
