more signs of spring

found the first garter snake of the year slithering around inside the house. Just a baby, at about 8 inches. I took it outside and released it near the swamp. The frogs should start getting inside any month now...

I love snakes. I wish we could hear frogs at night , but I guess if I lived near a swamp I'd have mosquitoes and black flies too. I'll have to settle for the hum of traffic on the Gardiner Expressway ;)

The mosquitoes are definitely a minus, but overall, "Swamp+Mosquitoes" is better than "Neighbors".

That's it. My path to fabulous wealth is inventing the "Neighbor Magnet" that runs on propane and reduces the neighbor population to insignificance in 6 weeks...
