I suppose they work by making you lose your appetite...

Then again, a lot of the retro-ewww aspect of some of these old recipe cards (think Lileks as well) is probably due to the primitive photo-reproduction techniques available at the time which gave everything an unnatural appearance...

Hmmm... maybe I should prepare some of those recipes and post digipix to food_porn and see if the reception is still as bad...
