how to know you've had a decent workout
Jan. 24th, 2006 06:36 pmLast night, i went to silks practice, and i seemed to have a decent amount of energy; I was able to do long routines (~5 minutes) repeatedly throughout the evening. Discovered a way to get stuck when geting out of the fish-cradle rollup which can happen if you do the fish-cradle rollup directly after one of the fabric-spreading moves. I did this several times last night, need to figure out how to avoid it.
Then drove home, to a driveway full of heavy snow. Shoveled out the front part of it, where the plow ridge was. Nice heavy heart-attack-and-throw-your-back-out sort of snow.
Then off to bed.
You know you had a good workout when your arm cramps up from brushing your teeth.

rigging the silks
Date: 2006-02-09 06:34 pm (UTC)I just found your blog when I was doing an online search for aerial silks rigging info. I've been training for about 6 months now with teachers and friends and now I'm ready to start training on my own as well so I'm not so dependent on other's time and equipment.
Can you recommend any sites that can help me with indoor and outdoor rigging requirements. I have fabric, but I'm clueless about how to be safe with my rigging and what all I need.
Thanks,
